What's happening in Tennessee this year?
Beginning in September, the Tennessee Odyssey of the Mind Association will be putting on the series of workshops listed below to help you get going. Specific dates, times, and locations will be posted later for these events. If you are interested in attending any of them or if your school might have the facilities to host a workshop (no work or cost involved for you), please contact the association director as soon as possible so that your needs can be taken into consideration during scheduling.

This fall we’ll have Coaches' Training workshops which will cover everything from selecting team members to facilitating problem solving without stepping in and solving the problem yourself.

In the spring we'll have Judges' Training workshops to prepare those volunteers who will be serving as officials at our state tournament.

While participating in a tournament is not necessary for your students to benefit from the program, most teams look forward to sharing their solutions with judges and other Odyssey of the Mind teams from Tennessee.

The top teams at the tournament will be invited to participate in the annual Odyssey of the Mind World Finals, where they will meet teams from across the United States and around the world. The 2006 World Finals will be held May 24 - 27 at
Iowa State University in Ames.
